Layaza's Dolmen

Layaza's Dolmen

Discovered by Domingo Fdz. Medrano in 1952 and excavated in 1957.

Corridor megalithic tomb, formed by a chamber with an irregular floor plan (3 mx 1.80 m), based on 7 sandstone slabs and a corridor of 8. One of the slabs on the southeast side has been lost. For its part, the corridor (0.75 m wide) although well marked, its conservation is quite incomplete. The dolmen is surrounded by a stone mound (26 mx 16 m) with an oval floor.
