Of military origin, it is a tower-castle dating from the s. XIII. Together with the wall, it was part of the Laguardia defensive system. Tradition knows it as the Abbey Tower, assuming it is part of an old monastery or abbey. Turned into the bell tower of the Church of Santa María de los Reyes it is enabled for tourist visits.
